چکیده

In the area of civil engineering and especially hydraulic structures, we find multiple anomalies that weakens mechanical characteristics dikes, one most common is erosion phenomenon specifically pipe flow which causes major damage to dam structures. This caused by a hole result high pressure water facilitate soil migration between two sides dam. It becomes only question time until diameter expands destruction structure. problem pushed physicist perform many tests quantify kinetics, used have logical trusted results HET (hole test). Meanwhile there not much research regarding models govern these types tests. Objectives: this paper modeled using modeling software based on Navier Stokes equations, model tackles also singularity interface structure/water wall laws for turbulence. Methods/Analysis: The studied in clay soil, has property containing more than other soils. Three were applied / calculate rate order avoid rupture such modlisitation was made ANSYS software. Findings: work, two-dimensional carried soil.in contrast early one-dimensional model, first had shown wall-shear stress uniform along whole wall. Then linear law predict non-uniform length. previous study found significant impact stress, affects fluid/soil, particularly at hole's extremes. Our experiment revealed degraded profile uniform. Towards the reproducibility in soil erosion modeling: a new Pan-European soil erosion map

Soil erosion by water is a widespread phenomenon throughout Europe and has the potentiality, with his on-site and off-site effects, to affect water quality, food security and floods. Despite the implementation of numerous and different models for estimating soil erosion by water in Europe, there is still a lack of harmonization of assessment methodologies. Often, different approaches result in ...

Computer Erosion Modeling Considering Soil Hydraulic Conductivity

Improved computer models of erosion have been developed, considering soil hydraulic conductivity. The models deal with erosion of levees, dams and embankments due to overtopping. The simulations trace the formation of rills and gullies, beginning with initial overtopping and continuing to final breaching. Physical models performed at 1-g and high g using a geotechnical centrifuge have been used...

The Influence of Soil Properties on the Wind Erosion Rate at Different Regions of Kerman Province

Wind erosion is known as one of the most important land degradation aspects, particularly in arid and semi-arid regions. Soil properties, by affecting soil erodibility, can control the wind erosion rate. The aim of this study was to attribute the soil physical and chemical properties to the wind erosion rate for the purpose of determining the most important property. To this aim, wind erosion r...

Numerical investigation on the pullout shear strength of soil-nail interface using finite element method

Soil nailing is a popular reinforcement method for stabilizing slopes, excavations, and retaining walls in many countries. The pullout capacity of the soil-nail interface is a critical parameter for the design and safety assessment of soil-nailed systems. In this paper, a three-dimensional (3D) finite element (FE) model is developed using the commercial program ABAQUS to simulate the pullout te...
